Lower
Antelope Canyon, AZ
The sun's movement during the day keeps changing the light that comes
streaming down the canyon walls, creating a kaleidoscope of hues.
This is a canyon on an Indian reservation where we had to climb down a
series of ladders to get to the bottom. At some parts of the
canyon it is narrow enough that you can touch both sides with by
outstretching your arms! |
Cloud
burst over the Grand Canyon
This was taken with a 35mm Olympus camera on Kodachrome slide film at
the south rim overlook. I happened to be in the right place at the
right time! |
South
Gap Lake, WY
This is a high (10,900') mountain lake in the Snowy
Range, Wyoming. I took this with my 4X5" camera using Tmax100
film. The environment is very barren at this altitude, and I tried
to capture the starkness and drama of the mountains. |
Grand
Tetons and Snake River, WY
The grandeur of the Tetons in Wyoming is quite spectacular, as the
mountains rise up abruptly from a large expanse of plains. This
was taken with my Fuji 6X9cm camera in the early morning. |

Canyon Walls, UT
An example of canyon walls in the southern Utah Canyon Lands.
The sandstone walls are slowly crumbling and returning to the earth. |

Hanging lake, CO
This beautiful lake is only accessible after a steep 2 mile hike up a
side canyon in the Glenwood Canyon. The colors of this glacier fed
lake have a turquoise hue and they remind one of being in the Caribbean. |
